ABCIBER – BRAZILIAN ASSOCIATION OF CYBERCULTURE RESEARCHERS is pleased to announce the opening of registrations for papers on RETHINKING DIGITAL ART, to be presented at its 2nd National Symposium, slated to be held at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP) next November 10 to 13. The regulations for preparing and sending papers and additional pertinent information are available at the site of the event, in the menu "Call for papers” of the Digital Art Commission (http://www.cencib.org/simposioabciber/papers_arte.htm).
The new due date for registration is September 12, 2008.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
[1] THE PAPERS SUBMITTED FOR THIS EVENT SHOULD BE UNPUBLISHED (i.e., written exclusively for participation in this Symposium, not presented or published prior to this event).
[2] Papers will be evaluated and selected by a Judging Committee composed of 3 (three) professors of USP and of PUC-SP.
[3] The thematic panels for presentation of works will be organized according to thematic approximation and will be published soon.
[4] The rooms allocated for holding the panels will be equipped with computers and projectors and will have Internet access. Other requests and technical or technological specifications for presentation of the works will be evaluated by the Art Commission and their implementation will depend on the availability of institutional infrastructure for the event.
[5] Expenses incurred by participation on the panels, if not covered by ABCiber, should be defrayed with origin funds.
REFERENCES FOR THE EDITING OF COMPLETE TEXTS Theme: free, relating to ongoing research and inserted within the broad scope of cyberculture studies.
